Third edition of the congress organised by the European Society of Medical Oncology, where the greatest advances in cancer treatment are presented, as well as the application of the latest technology and innovation in the curative therapy of oncological diseases. It will take place from 20 to 24 October at IFEMA. There are several ways to get to this convention centre from Madrid Sol.

3. INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FAIR (FITUR)

The new edition will arrive in the capital next January and will also take place at IFEMA. As every year, professionals from the sector and interested parties gather to showcase the latest trends. The 2024 fair will count with Ecuador as a partner and with the participation of more than 130 countries to present their tourism offer.

4. INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR (ARCOMADRID)

This annual event brings together the biggest names in international galleries, artists and collectors. ARCOmadrid 2024 will once again take place at IFEMA in March. Since its creation, it has been one of the main platforms for the contemporary art market. In 2024 it will celebrate its 43rd edition with the Caribbean Sea as its central project.

5. MADRID BOOK FAIR

The 83rd edition will be held in the spring of 2024 on Paseo Fernán Núñez in El Retiro Park. For many, it is considered the most important cultural fair in Spanish. Writers, booksellers, publishers and distributors will attend this annual event for books and reading, where authors will present their new releases.

6. CLASSIC MADRID

If you are passionate about vintage cars, you cannot miss the largest fair dedicated to the classic car segment in Spain. This event will take place from 23 to 25 February 2024 at the Paseo Puerta del Ángel next to the Casa de Campo. Numerous collectors and enthusiasts come together to contemplate authentic jewels of the past.

7. CRAFTS FAIR OF THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID

One of the most important events related to the promotion of regional crafts, which in 2023 celebrates its 37th edition next December. Once again this year, it will take place on Paseo de Recoletos, between Colón and Cibeles, and will have 155 stands. Without a doubt, this is an excellent opportunity to discover real treasures while strolling through the centre of Madrid.

8. ART & WINE MADRID TOUR

This initiative, set up by the Museo Nacional Thyssen Bornemisza and the Mercado de San Miguel, will allow you to explore gastronomic culture and art through two tours that will be available until December. Wine is the common thread of these routes, hence the name of the tour.

9. MADRID SUMMIT

This international conference on human rights is part of the programme of the LGTBI Pride festivities in Madrid. It is held at the European Parliament and European Commission Offices in Spain. The 2024 edition will take place in June. It is a space for meeting, vindication and reflection that fights to eradicate discrimination against these groups.

10. CHILDREN’S AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S LEISURE FAIR (JUVENALIA)

A recreational and educational event for families with children up to 16 years of age and schools that is held at the IFEMA fairgrounds during the Immaculate Conception long weekend in December. The Juvenalia programme consists of numerous activities and educational shows to promote the intellectual, emotional, social and ethical development of children.
